Code of Conduct

The MMDP collective is dedicated to providing a professional, welcoming and inclusive community for all people interested in working with digital collections regardless of gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, religious beliefs or income. Furthermore, we recognize that we have shared responsibility to ensure this community stays welcoming for all. Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior by any person are expected to comply immediately.

This rule extends to workshops, conference events and surrounding online discussion. All participants share the responsibility to identify, inform, escalate, enforce, remediate and correct any harassing incident. In these circumstances all parties should be treated with respect and courtesy. A member of the Program Committee should be informed, if appropriate, and is able to assist with interpreting membership rules.

Vendors are welcome to participate in all conference events, but are not permitted to market or promote services or software except as explicitly agreed with the Program Committee. An appropriate place and time will be allowed for vendor marketing. In any other case vendors should only respond to direct inquiries about products or services. Proactive marketing may be construed as harassment.
